Airlines pursue constant improvement

The battle for the skies is about customer service, cost efficiency and constant improvement. A range of projects in the aeronautical industry has proved that System 21 is not simply a prescriptive consultancy.
Work in this sector has included helping to streamline customer services for British Airways and Galileo United Kingdom through the implementation of new procedures and software. The scope of this work covered four main areas - control over subcontractors, ticketing, order processing and invoicing.

System 21 also implemented a major change programme for British International, the UK arm of the Canadian Helicopters Company, which has bases in several locations in the British Isles in addition to servicing the North Sea Oil companies and operating passenger services to the Isles of Scilly. Part of the project was used to develop and install a 20 % increase in maintenance productivity which was achieved while still meeting all CAA regulations.

These companies and others in the airline industry were all able to accelerate their own initiatives rapidly through the System 21 methodology which carefully plans the development and agreement of change prior to implementation.

During the "Into Action" phase of each project, System 21 supports and trains staff to ensure that the project objectives are met in full. There is still a vast scope for improvement in administration and services within the airline industry and System 21 is now expanding in this sector throughout Northern and Southern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
